    Install your eSIM

    Install your eSIM using a Wi-Fi connection, ideally just before you leave: depending on the data plan, validity starts either at installation or upon first connection in the destination. Upon arrival, activate the eSIM profile for mobile data and data roaming.

    1. 1Open Settings › Mobile Data › Add eSIM.
    2. 2Choose "Use QR Code" and scan the QR code of your order. No second screen? Tap "Enter Details Manually" and paste the activation code.
    3. 3Name the new line "Travel".
    4. 4Upon arrival, choose "Travel" for mobile data and enable data roaming on this line.
    5. 5Your regular line remains active for calls and texts. Disable its data roaming.

    Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi before you leave. Do not delete it afterwards: the QR code is usually used only once.

    Yes, coverage relies on the local mobile networks of Taiwan. Very remote areas may have less reliable service.
